Howdy,

A Vampire’s Tale is nearing completion and just about ready to be published. I’ve been without internet at home for about 3 weeks now due to an outage in my neighborhood. I’m using my cellular connect to get this to you which is expensive as all hell.

Oddly, I’ve gotten a ton of work done without it. I completed the final 1st draft shortly after the outage began and I’m only a few chapters from completing my second round of editing. I also worked up a very nice cover during the interim which looks totally fitting of the genre. Things are looking good for a mid-September release, early Autumn as promised.

Not sure how I’m going to price this one, but I’ll keep it affordable. Prices have gone up all over the market as you’re probably aware. As expected, some are having a hard time making sense of it all, using oddball pricing schemes for their books. I appreciate a .99 cent deal just like everyone else, but you’ll need a very hard sell for me to spend any more than $10-$15 for a book. Realistically, I’ll only spend that on authors I’ve read before since I’ll know what I’m getting.

Beyond that it looks like clear sailing (fingers crossed).

Meanwhile, I’ve been charging up to dive into my following novel, Where the Crow’s Nest. I’m already a few pages into a sequel for that one. I had initially planned to get that to you folks before the year’s end, but I’ve been wrapped up completely by A Vampire’s Tale and haven’t really thought about it until now. I’m sure you’re all wondering what kind of author am I really. Sci-Fi, Supernatural-Romance, Detective? I like to blend all three when I can.

Where the Crow’s Nest is strictly a detective story, btw. However, depending on how well A Vampire’s Tale does, I may ditch Detective Karl Vickers for some of my sultrier stories which dwell in the land of Demons and Nightmares. Only time will tell.

So, that’s that.

Thanks for sticking with me. I won’t molest your inbox as much as my co-conspirators because I consider that kind of action distasteful. But, I will send out a nice fat email once A Vampire’s Tale is nearing its launch. Complete with a cover reveal and perhaps an excerpt or two.

Have a good weekend.
